- be aware of the various types of evidence that can be used as quantitative and qualitative evidence in a scholarly understanding of learning with technology
- be able to describe levels of quantitative data and units of analysis for qualitative analysis
Activity Guide:
For your own classroom implementation of technology from Fall semester, provide possible measures of at least 5 types of quantitative and 3 measures of qualitative evidence. Consider quantitative and observational possibilities of these and others:
- Student satisfaction, interest, willingness to consider advanced courses
- Parent satisfaction
- Student engagement with assignments and materials
- Teacher benefits (ease of grading, level of feedback)
- 21st century “soft” skills like collaboration skills and online use of resource skills
- teacher-made survey and test scores
- textbook and unit test scores
- high stakes test scores
