Class Discussion:

Discuss your experience with using the Word Cloud to summarize a paragraph or more of qualitative data (transcripts). Does it work. What are its strengths and limits as a tool for summarizing. Then also discuss the same issue for using an average (mean) as descriptives for quantitative data. Discuss how the issues of data reduction are the same or different for quant and qual data.
