Have you ever experienced a “learning environment” that is truly learner-centered, inside or outside school? For example, is a football practice field a learner-centered “learning environment?” Is a video game like Mario Brothers, World of Warcraft, or Civilization IV a learner-centered “learning environment?” Is learning to fish, cook, ski, or bake cakes like your grandmother’s done in a learner-centered learning environment?
