Transmedia and New Literacies Activities Objective. By successfully completing this lab, students should be able to:

• Consider how reading (online) and writing (digitally and collaboratively) are new literacies to be taught in school.
• Reflect on collaborative video and multimedia/ Transmedia storytelling as part of lesson planning and instructional design.

Activity Guide:

1. As part of 2 Summers, you have already completed a collaborative video assignment (and uploaded it to Taskstream).
2. Discuss with you colleague the value of multimedia and transmedia storytelling and how it might dovetail with UDL principles
3. Post your final take-away reflection as a response to your initial thoughts in the Initial Thought discussion forum.
